Welcome to the 2024 Geriatric Emergency Management (GEM) Conference. We are excited to learn with you! Please take note of a few important details about this event.
Conference Learning Objectives:
- Receive health system updates on issues pertinent to older adults and GEM programs
- Address learning needs in seniors’ mental health and other medical conditions identified by GEM teams
- Consider the role of GEM in facilitating successful discharges
- Meet colleagues from across Ontario and learn from GEM leaders and mentors
The format for the event is:
- Each major section/spotlight has a unique Zoom link – please take note of the links found in the agenda (can also download here)
- All sessions will be recorded and will be housed here in the conference portal following the event
- Participants will move between Zoom rooms so be prepared to click a new link to enter a new session (see agenda)
- Comments will be enabled, and sessions will be staffed with a moderator who will help to highlight audience questions
- Speaker introductions will be brief, and full speaker bios and presentation slides (if applicable) will be found in this conference portal
